PG&E Selects New Sun Road’s Monitoring and Control System For Stand Alone Power Systems
RICHMOND, Calif.—Aug. 10, 2022—New Sun Road partners with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) to provide its Stellar Microgrid OSTM as the remote monitoring and control platform for PG&E’s growing fleet of hybrid renewable energy standalone power systems. These rural grids can permanently replace overhead distribution power lines or provide power during Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) in High Fire-Threat Districts (HFTD), improving reliability and significantly reducing wildfire risk.

From energy audits to operation, BoxPower provides turnkey engineering, construction, and management services.
Nuru Utility, D.R.C.
New Sun Road’s Stellar platform is monitoring and controlling Nuru’s 1.32 MW hybrid microgrid. Inaugurated in February 2020, the plant consists of four thousand 335W panels, batteries and a backup generator with a total capacity of 364kW. This microgrid serves about 750 households.
