Benjamin Kramer
Ben worked in the Schrödinger Lab, performing quality control on the Stellar Edge gateway and connectivity kits. He also assisted the Manufacturing Team in building Stellar IS (Integrated Systems). During his first week, he worked to upgrade the QC apparatus to four drawers testing eight Stellar Edge devices each, for a total of 32. Ben wired most of the daisy chains and connected the devices to the CAN and Modbus ports, as well as the direct wiring for the power supply.
“I have very much enjoyed working at New Sun Road. I have learned exceedingly valuable information on hardware operations, and am thankful for everybody in the Schrödinger Lab. In addition to learning on-the-job, I talked to my co-workers about their knowledge on other topics. Fujia Zhang introduced me to the basics of PCB design and software like Autodesk Eagle, and Jose Saavedra shared his experiences as a physics major. Overall, I believe that this was an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the technical field.”
