New Sun Road Welcomes New Employees Laura, Kobbie, Danny, and Sharon

The New Sun Road team recently welcomed two full-time employees and two interns.

Laura Kearns

Laura joins the New Sun Road team as Chief of Staff to our Chief Product Officer. With over 20 years of experience in the technology industry, she brings extensive experience in operationalizing and executing strategy, delivering on strategic business imperatives, building and launching products and teams, and leading through growth, transformation, and change to New Sun Road. Previously, Laura has worked at companies including Silicon Valley Bank, Adobe, Microsoft, Dolby, and CISCO.

Kobbie Turkson

Kobbie Turkson joins New Sun Road as a Cloud Operations Engineer. After graduating from The University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Business Administration, Kobbie found his way into IT as a Business Analyst where he discovered he truly loved the technical side of the industry. He trained and transitioned into his most recent role as a Cloud Engineer, working mainly on designing and implementing cloud-based Infrastructure using IaC and helping triage issues with deployed applications.

Danny Price

Danny Price joins New Sun Road as Operations Intern. Danny was introduced to New Sun Road through his studies at the University of San Francisco (USF) where he is currently a student studying for an MS degree in Energy Systems Management. After spending eight years helping scale operations teams in the food industry, Danny joined the program at USF to help the efforts to decarbonize the global energy system. Danny has a BS in Agriculture Business from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Sharon Gershoni

Sharon Gershoni joins New Sun Road as a Software Intern. Sharon completed a BA in Photography and Fine Arts from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, and a PhD in Image Engineering and Visual Perception from Chiba University. Sharon carried out research in Israel and Japan and recently pivoted to tech as a full-stack developer.
