The Stellar platform manages over 1700 power systems, and we have been offering remote monitoring and control for over 10 years.
We continue to improve Stellar to meet your needs, helping to accelerate the deployment of distributed energy resources (DERs). Here are some relatively new, but very cool energy management features.
Enhanced infrastructure for a highly available and secure web-based dashboard
- Set up to be “self-healing,” meaning the platform monitors itself and takes corrective action automatically
- For those concerned about their cyberneighbors, we offer a “Single Tenant” option
- Closer integration between our cloud-based software and on-site firmware to speed up event detection to near real-time (e.g. security breach via door alarm)
- Templatized configurations of systems, so that new ones can be added independently. Ideal for rapid deployment and large fleets of standard systems
Enhanced dashboard features so that information is more “friendly”
- Bitfield interpretation of fault codes to translate codes into text to display a “real message”
- Contextual explanations as “i” for quick and easy references
- Mobile-friendly UX

Stellar supports very precise mode and schedule definition. Example modes that have been created with our customers include:
- Storm mode stores power in the battery in preparation for a grid outage
- For extreme weather events or planned Public Safety Power Shut-Offs
- TOU scheduling mode uses battery storage to provide power when utility costs are highest
- Create precise schedules for each project matching time-of-use rates accounting for seasons, days, even specific hours
- Peak shaving mode uses battery power to reduce power peaks that can put the site into the next rate tier
- Reduce demand charges and keep utility rates in the lowest tier possible
Set up your Stellar experience to meet your own project needs and workflow
- Download reports on demand or schedule them for distribution
- Create rule-based events or notifications. Set up notification channels, which can include non-user emails and phone numbers for SMS
- Assign access based on permissions and user level
